Genelle Frenoy is a successful
model and actress. You might recognize her
from Abercromie & Fitch,
IZOD, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Clairole or Jergens
ads or seen her in the movies “Something’s
Gotta Give” and "The Devil Wears Prada". However,
her life has not exactly been easy.
Her
adolescent years were spent feeling like an outcast.
She was picked on and made
fun of by her
classmates on regular basis which left her feeling
alone, empty and starved for affection.
Her family
life wasn’t much better. She experienced physical
and verbal abuse and had a distant father.
She was kicked out at the age of 18. Lost in a
world of hopelessness, feeling like she had nowhere
to go, she moved to New York City with her boyfriend
to pursue modeling. She quickly found success as
a model and as an actress. Nevertheless, the hole
in her heart also got bigger because she was still
unfulfilled.
It was then that Genelle came across the book “Don’t
Be Anxious about Anything” by Joyce Meyer. While
reading it the words jumped out it her. It was
then that she turned to Jesus Christ and experienced
a powerful transformation.
Her modeling and acting
career was never better. However, much of modeling
she was doing was degrading.
Genelle no longer wanted to do this kind of modeling
and changed her image.
Genelle has a strong desire
to be an example of purity and show women their
value and significance
and how beautiful every women is. |
